Alumni from the Echidna Global Scholars Program, a visiting fellowship at the Center for Universal Education focused on improving learning opportunities and outcomes for girls in the developing world, discuss the program’s impact both personally and professionally: From tackling issues such as child marriage, menstrual taboos, and ethnic exclusion—and bringing solutions like gender-sensitive pedagogy, engagement of men and boys in gender equality efforts, and mentoring for the most marginalized populations in the world—girls across the world have benefited from the Echidna Global Scholars’ leadership.
